Making
Music with
the World!

Welcome to the home page of the 'Erben Music Festival'! The EMF was founded in 2020 with the desire to collaborate with the global community through music. Our core beliefs are centered on building bridges between cultures and creating spaces to promote music with the hope to connect with each other.
The EMF has three key components; the Master Classes, Cantabile, and the Chamber Music Festival.
The Masterclass Series are held at the Erben Geigenbau & St Anton where we invite some of today's premier artists. Our mission is to create an environment where learning can take place and where conversations are encouraged. We want to provide young musicians with a place where they can develop and be who they are. At the EMF differences are not shunned but appreciated!
So, what makes the EMF Masterclasses unique? Well, each year we also invite some of the best craftsmen and women of our trade to our masterclasses. These outstanding artisans will present lectures related to their craft, with the hope of uniting the two worlds together. We believe that connecting musicians with artisans promotes better understanding between the two disciplines, and sets a platform for further innovation and development.
Cantabile is a charity project designed in collaboration with 'Caritas München'. During each EMF Masterclass, selected students will perform for the homeless and the underprivileged. Together with Caritas the EMF will work towards rehabilitating the underprivileged members of our community.
The 'Erben Music Festival' is a chamber music festival designed to make music for the people. Led by the acclaimed Israeli Violinist & Director Vadim Gluzman, the EMF aims to serve the community of Munich with an eclectic selection of music, performed by some of today's revered musicians.
Our dream is to make the world a better place through music, and we will continue to do our best to serve the world through our passion!

Up coming recitals
The EMF Masterclass Concerts is a platform designed to promote the Prize Winners of each EMF Masterclass. Every year each prize winner is provided with a solo recital in our workshop. The EMF believes in supporting young musicians and is constantly innovating new ways to provide them with the right kind of exposure. From the start of the 21/22 season, the EMF Masterclasses will partner with two semi-professional orchestras to award concerto appearances as prizes. We are thrilled to be a crucial part of the development of our students, and we thank Sinfonieorchester Marktoberdorf for their support!
